Ode to "Original Living" Honored-guest post by Monica Williams, MD
Flowers on an afternoon walk
Modern life has overly sanitized my living.
My “inside” air is cool and homogenous but contains little else.
Generated by a box with a mechanical hum, It transmits oxygen, yes, But none of the other elixirs of life.
So, unless your air is laced with birdsong and pine, I will pass…
In an ode to “original living.”

“You will come to a place where the streets are not marked. Some windows are lighted, but mostly they're darked. But mostly they're darked. A place you could sprain both your elbow and chin! Do you dare to stay out? Do you dare to go in? How much can you lose? How much can you win?” ― Theodor S. Geisel
